Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Tailor-made for anyone who appreciates a well-choreographed fight and anyone who loves a story about hope against the odds. The fight choreography is a big part of the appeal. Shelve it next to John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. The walls close in, and so does the tension.
The mood
Light and funny.
The pace
Moves at a clip, at 1 hr 30 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
  • It's in Chinese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you prefer quiet, talky stories.

A group of women with various criminal skills are thrown into prison during World War 2. They escape and proceed to head off to destroy a chemical lab in a well fortified valley.
