Weeknight Watch

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

It's still drawing plenty of interest, but middling reviews (33% on Rotten Tomatoes) and a lukewarm 6.2 out of 10 from audiences held it back. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh. If you loved Postcards from the Edge or Saltburn, start here.
The mood: Funny with heart.
The pace: Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 43 min.
What might put you off: Rated PG-13. Probably too much for younger kids.

After getting into a car accident while drunk on the day of her sister's wedding, Gwen Cummings is given a choice between prison or a rehab center. She chooses rehab, but is extremely resistant to taking part in any of the treatment programs they have to offer, refusing to admit that she has an alcohol addiction.
