One for armchair detectives and people who enjoy a knot in their stomach. The investigation drives everything, one lead at a time. Sits nicely alongside Killer's Kiss.
The mood
Tense.
The pace
Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 33 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1973: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

A rich man with an impotence problem becomes subject to manipulation by those around him. When he gives the keys to his villa to two women, he witnesses a murder. A series of cunning plots and secrets make things difficult for the police as they hunt for the murderer, but a film that the owner of the villa secretly shot reveals the perpetrator’s identity.
