Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for anyone who loves watching a plan come together and people who'll be looking things up afterwards. The fun is in the planning, the double-crosses and the moment it all goes sideways. If you loved Avengement or Chopper, start here. Based on real events, so expect to go down a research rabbit hole afterwards.
The mood
Tense, dark and gritty.
The pace
Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 1 hr 38 min.
What might put you off
  • Made in 1977: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

A gung-ho ex-military man pursues a secret life of crime, culminating in the kidnapping of a teenage heiress.
