Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Great for music lovers and people who love a true story told well. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top. A good follow-up to Michael Jackson's This Is It or Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.
The mood
Eye-opening.
The pace
Moves through the story clearly, at 1 hr 32 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you want made-up drama tonight.

The story begins in 1984 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, few years before the end of Communist era. The band Pražský výběr (Prague's selection) has just received the news thier 5-year ban has expired and they are alowed to perform once again. This half fantasy half document about the band would draw the atmosphere of middle european late Communist era and the eufory of it's end.
