Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for people who get choked up at a comeback and anyone who likes a story with emotional weight. The sport matters, but the people playing it matter more. Shelve it next to Field of Dreams.
The mood
Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace
Gives its people room to develop, at 1 hr 17 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

When a young girl wants to join her high school's hockey team as goalie, she meets with resistence, but also gets support, especially from the star forward of the team.
