Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Aimed squarely at anyone who remembers how big everything felt at sixteen and fans of small-town stories. It gets the awkwardness and the high stakes of being young. Shelve it next to Stand by Me or Interstate 60. A place where gossip travels faster than the plot.
The mood
Exciting.
The pace
Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 18 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Will and Eli meet by chance in a bar and head to the salt flats searching for a party. In the process, however, they take the first steps towards finding and accepting themselves.
