Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: If you count yourself among anyone who likes their romance with a bite and horror fans, this one's for you. Vampire lore, given its own spin. Sits nicely alongside Interview with the Vampire or Nosferatu.
The mood: Scary.
The pace: Builds dread steadily, at 1 hr 43 min.
What might put you off: It's in French, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you scare easily or watch alone at night.

A pair of teenage girls, who are blind by day, but when the sun goes down, they roam the streets to quench their thirst for blood.
