Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for people who like stories about real, flawed people. Leaves you with something to think about.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 24 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off: It's in Japanese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Made in 1972: an older pace and style.
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Natsuko is so good at using that super-strong vagina of hers that she can fuck guys to death. In the end, she’s pitted against a sexual superman and a showdown ensues. There’s also a subplot about a mad scientist type who needs vaginal juices to create a potion designed to turn Japanese girls black.
