Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Right up the alley of anyone drawn to the darker side of the street. Plenty of moral grey areas to chew on.
The mood
Gritty.
The pace
Well paced, at 1 hr 30 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • It's in Italian, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1973: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

Carolina Miceli, widow of Salvatore Caruso, arrived at the bedside of the dying boss Gaetano Liguoro, tells how, discordant about drug trafficking, the brothers Gaetano and Tony Liguori have opened hostilities against his father Calogero Miceli, backed by politicians.
