Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: If you count yourself among anyone who loves a strong drama, this one's for you. One to watch when you can give it your full attention.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 1 hr 31 min.
What might put you off: It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

The plot follows Steva, who is in love with an actress, Duja, who adores his motorcycle, and Bane, who plans to steal the motorcycle. Nikola desperately searches for a job, while Toma is in love with Mira, who is in an abusive relationship and occasionally thinks about Toma. The film highlights the despair and isolation of a generation in the post-war era.
