Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among history and war-film fans and anyone who likes wide open spaces and slow-burning standoffs, this one's for you. It puts you in the middle of the fighting, and doesn't let you forget the cost. Dust, horses and a showdown waiting to happen.
The mood
Easygoing.
The pace
Well paced, at 1 hr 29 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
  • It's in Italian, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1968: an older pace and style.

A range war between cattlemen and farmers comes to a head with the arrival of a Deputy Marshal and "Mule" a famous gunfighter in the town of Houstonville, Texas.
