Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among anyone who loves watching a plan come together and politics junkies, this one's for you. The fun is in the planning, the double-crosses and the moment it all goes sideways. Shelve it next to Road to Perdition or The Wild One. Power and ambition drive every scene.
The mood
Dark and gritty, warm and romantic.
The pace
Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 40 min.
What might put you off
  • Made in 1937: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if romance makes you roll your eyes.

President McKinley asks Lt. Richard L. Perry to go underground to identify some obviously very well briefed Mid-Western bank robbers based in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
