Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a box office flop, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Tailor-made for crime fans and anyone who loves a strong drama. Plenty of moral grey areas to chew on. Liked Serpico or Cop Land? This is a good next one.
The mood: Dark and gritty.
The pace: Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 2 hr 9 min.
What might put you off: It's in Hindi, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

Following the fortunes of tough cop Sadhu Agashe both in his fight against crime and in his personal life. Garnering newspaper headlines for his crime-fighting activities, he also makes some enemies in the police department, most notably in the form of his superior, who believes his officer has gone too far.
