Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for anyone who likes to be kept guessing, sci-fi fans and adventure fans. If you loved Twelve Monkeys or 10 Cloverfield Lane, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood
Tense, mind-bending.
The pace
Fast-moving, at 1 hr 43 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in Spanish, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

A mysterious epidemic spreads across the planet. Humanity develops an irrational fear of open spaces that causes instant death. Soon, the world population is trapped inside buildings. As Barcelona descends into chaos, Marc sets off on a quest to find Julia, his missing girlfriend, without ever going outside.
