Weeknight WatchWhy it’s a Weeknight Watch
It's still drawing plenty of interest, but just 20% on Rotten Tomatoes and soft box office held it back. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- If you count yourself among fans of a good haunting and people who enjoy a knot in their stomach, this one's for you. The scares come from the creaks and shadows as much as the jumps. A good follow-up to Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Audiences love it more than critics do: a crowd-pleaser first.
- The mood
- Scary.
- The pace
- Unhurried and epic, at 2 hr 38 min.
- What might put you off
- It's long: 2 hr 38 min.
