Monday Morning Maybeearly ratingWhy it’s a Monday Morning Maybe
With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Best for people who'll be humming afterwards and people who'll be looking things up afterwards. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top. Sits nicely alongside Almost Famous or Elvis. Based on real events, so expect to go down a research rabbit hole afterwards.
- The mood
- Thoughtful and character-driven.
- The pace
- Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 50 min.
- What might put you off
- It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
- Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.
Remu grew up in modest conditions. He dropped out from schoold during his teen age years and is making career as a small time criminal. His family's destiny is about to come true, and it's going to be the usual: jail, alcoholism and violent death. After learning about rock music Remu learns to play drums and pushes himself into different bands. His first time in jails interrupts his music career, but after being released he starts his own band; Hurriganes.
