Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for music lovers and people who love a true story told well. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top. If you loved Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me or One Direction: This Is Us, start here.
The mood: Eye-opening.
The pace: Moves through the story clearly, at 1 hr. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off: Skip it if you want made-up drama tonight.

An intimate look at Los Angeles-based funk rock foursome Red Hot Chili Peppers' creative process as they join producer Rick Rubin at a Hollywood Hills mansion to record their 1991 studio album 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik', which would go on to propel the band into critical acclaim and worldwide popularity.
