Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Aimed squarely at anyone who loves trying to stay one step ahead and anyone who enjoys a good scare. Best on a quiet night when you're in the mood to feel something.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Keeps the tension tight, at 1 hr 41 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in Chinese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1978: an older pace and style.
  • Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Sensual Pleasures features a collection of three, ghost story, sexual vignettes starring a viscerally sensual trio of hardcore experience with the well endowed Chen Ping, Chinese adult film legend Shirley Yu and the innocent doe-eyed Shaw Yin-yin.
