Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for anyone who's already planned their apocalypse hideout and fans of a well-timed joke. The undead are the backdrop; how people treat each other is the real story. If you loved Braindead or Grindhouse, start here.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Tense from early on, at 1 hr 17 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • It's in Japanese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Not one for anyone who hates jump scares.

Aiko and Hashimoto discovere a VHS videotape called "A Guide to Surviving Zombies From". This is a video with a set of instructions that will help them cope with the invasion of the undead living in Japan.
