Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for people who can't resist a good whodunit and people who like their stories with a little danger. The investigation drives everything, one lead at a time. Sits nicely alongside Evil Under the Sun.
The mood
Tense, dark and gritty.
The pace
Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 23 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1973: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

A detective and a militia captain are working together investigating a murder. When their job is done, the feelings do not let them say goodbye.
