Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among fans of a well-timed joke, this one's for you. Good for nights when you want to switch off and laugh. Audiences love it more than critics do: a crowd-pleaser first.
The mood
Light and funny.
The pace
Quick and easy-going, at 1 hr 30 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • Rated PG-13. Probably too much for younger kids.
  • Critics were cooler on it than audiences.
  • Not the pick if you want something heavy or meaningful.

Working class New York bus driver Ralph Kramden is always coming up with get-rich-quick schemes for him and his best friend, Ed Norton, who's always around to help him get in (and out of) trouble.
