Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Aimed squarely at fans of mob stories and fans of a good courtroom showdown. A look inside a world of loyalty, money and betrayal. Liked The Long Good Friday or Glengarry Glen Ross? This is a good next one. The best scenes are battles fought with words.
The mood
Dark and gritty.
The pace
Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 25 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • Made in 1949: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you like your heroes clean-cut.

Frank Warren is a treasury agent assigned to put an end to the activities of a powerful mob crime boss. Frank works undercover, posing as a criminal to seek information, but is frustrated when all he finds are terrified witnesses and corrupt police officers.
