Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: A natural pick for people who like stories about real, flawed people. Best on a quiet night when you're in the mood to feel something.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 13 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off: Made in 1933: an older pace and style.
Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

Dale Jordan is first accepted by the aristocratic first-cabin passengers on a south-bound Panama-Pacific liner until they discover she is a member of a troupe of cabaret girls led by Trixie Snell en route for the Bull Ring Cabaret in Panama City.
