Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Right up the alley of anyone with a best friend they'd call at 3am and adventure lovers. The friendships are the beating heart of it. Same wavelength as FernGully: The Last Rainforest or Swapped.
The mood
Feel-good.
The pace
Bright and bouncy, at 1 hr 23 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • No age rating on record, so check it first for young kids.
  • It's in Swedish, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Skip it if you can't get past animation (your loss).

Something strange has been spotted over the tree tops in the forest where Charlie Strap and Froggy Ball live, and Plåt-Niklas quickly builds a monocular to examine it. It turns out to be an emergency signal and the two friends together with Plåt-Niklas and The Parrot set out on an expedition to resque whoever is sending the signal.
