Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for fans of end-of-the-world stories and anyone who loves trying to stay one step ahead. It builds a whole broken world and makes you live in it. Shelve it next to Grindhouse or Repulsion.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Tense from early on, at 1 hr 21 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
  • It's in German, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

In an apocalyptic future world, a young upper class couple is visiting an exhibition of surrealistic paintings, presented by a group of young anarchists in their loft flat where they trap and torture their high society guests.
