Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for people who love a good growing-up story and romantics. It gets the awkwardness and the high stakes of being young. A good follow-up to Bottoms or Booksmart.
The mood
Light and funny, romantic.
The pace
Quick and easy-going, at 1 hr 31 min.
What might put you off
Not the pick if you want something heavy or meaningful.

When East Coast teen Mandy Meyers moves to Los Angeles with her family, she's thrown into the fast life at McDermott High, where the pretty girls rule the school and two very different guys want to date her.
