Sunday Safe Bet

Why it’s a Sunday Safe Bet

Critics loved it (95% on Rotten Tomatoes), though it had little lasting buzz. A safe bet when you want something reliable.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who likes to be kept guessing, anyone who wants a laugh and horror fans. If you loved Barbarian or Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Scary.
The pace: Fast-moving, at 1 hr 51 min.
What might put you off: Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

When Kylie Bucknell is sentenced to home detention, she's forced to come to terms with her unsociable behaviour, her blabbering mother and a hostile spirit who seems less than happy about the new living arrangement.
