Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With soft box office, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Right up the alley of fans of prison dramas and action fans. The walls close in, and so does the tension. A good follow-up to A Perfect World.
The mood: Exciting.
The pace: Epic and sweeping, at 2 hr 58 min.
What might put you off: It's long: 2 hr 58 min.
It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Not for anyone who finds explosions tiring.

Govardhan, a doctor by profession, is wrongly accused of bombing a train and is jailed by the British in Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He witnesses sufferings of hundreds of Indian prisoners there.
