Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Tailor-made for people who enjoy a knot in their stomach and anyone who enjoys a good scare. A good one for a late-night scare. Liked Grindhouse? This is a good next one.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Tense from early on, at 1 hr 28 min. It jumps around in time, so stay with it.
What might put you off
Not one for anyone who hates jump scares.

Syd Jarrett is an unsuspecting, down-and-out man in a washed-up hick town who gets pulled into a sub-culture of blood-hungry creatures. He encounters Vic, a renegade whose animal instincts are stronger than his human ones. As things begin to get even worse, Jarrett realizes that his best chance for happiness, and survival, lies in his true love for Jane.
