Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Tailor-made for anyone nostalgic for their awkward years and people who'll be humming afterwards. Small moments carry real weight here, the way they do when you're young. Liked Oliver! or West Side Story? This is a good next one. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top.
The mood
Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace
Character-first and patient, at 2 hr 18 min.
What might put you off
Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.
