Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among anyone who likes big what-if ideas and people who still love a bit of magic, this one's for you. Leaves you with ideas to chew on afterwards.
The mood
Easygoing.
The pace
Moves along nicely, at 1 hr 27 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1975: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you like your stories firmly grounded in the real world.

An old geriatrics professor accidentally discovers after a high-school reunion a potion that can rejuvenate anybody and uses it on him and his friends. They all go their new youthful ways but, for most of them, things don't go according to plan.
