Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With soft box office and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Great for people who like their stories at full throttle and anyone who likes a story with emotional weight. Made for the biggest screen and the loudest speakers you have.
The mood: Exciting.
The pace: Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 2 hr 20 min.
What might put you off: It's in Telugu, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you prefer quiet, talky stories.

S.P.Parshuram is an action oriented movie in which, Parshuram (Chiranjeevi) is a police official who is very rash and is willing to arrest his own family for the sake of the law. Harish, his brother, is caught in a blue film gang, and Sridevi, a common thief, almost becomes a victim but manages to escape. Because she is a witness, she is later assaulted and becomes blind. Rest of the movie is about how Parshuram recues his family from gangsters.
