Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for people who root for the clever crook and fans of mob stories. Half the pleasure is trying to spot the trick before the reveal. Liked The Italian Job or The Thomas Crown Affair? This is a good next one. A look inside a world of loyalty, money and betrayal.
The mood
Gritty.
The pace
Well paced, at 1 hr 8 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • Made in 1937: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you like your stories firmly grounded in the real world.

The inventor of a new top-of-the-line burglar alarm system is kidnapped by a gang in order to get him to help them commit robberies.
