Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for people who need a good giggle. Low effort, high reward: just press play.
The mood
Light and funny.
The pace
Breezy, at 1 hr 30 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1961: an older pace and style.
  • Not the pick if you want something heavy or meaningful.

The boss of service station, Raka, prevents thieves of stealing money after attempted robbery. But Raka doesn't know what to do with all the millions in his possession, but can't go told to police afraid that they may accuse him of complicity. He somehow manages to get rid of the money and marry Mara, the motel's maid who didn't want to hear about him while he was full of cash.
