Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Great for fans of a good con and anyone who likes knowing it really happened. Half the pleasure is trying to spot the trick before the reveal. Same wavelength as Heat. Based on real events, so expect to go down a research rabbit hole afterwards.
The mood
Dark and gritty.
The pace
Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 52 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Crisanto Espina, a cop on suspension and under investigation, is tasked to eliminate the suspects involved in a bank robbery/massacre that shocked the whole nation.
