Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: One for anyone with a complicated family (so, everyone) and people who enjoy a knot in their stomach. Family ties get tested in ways that ring true. Sits nicely alongside The Prince of Tides or Foxcatcher. Soaked in 1970s atmosphere.
The mood: Tense, warm and romantic.
The pace: Takes its time with its characters, at 2 hr 21 min.
What might put you off: It's in Swedish, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you want something to relax to.

Beaten up, bruised, and scared, a young writer hides in a Stockholm apartment, writing the story of its disappeared inhabitants: the flamboyant and charismatic Morgan brothers.
