Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for anyone who's already planned their apocalypse hideout and fans of close encounters. The undead are the backdrop; how people treat each other is the real story. Shelve it next to Alien: Romulus or The Thing. The aliens are the hook, but the human reactions are the story.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Builds dread steadily, at 1 hr 31 min.
What might put you off
  • Rated R: meant for adults.
  • Not one for anyone who hates jump scares.

A man and his daughter are attacked in the woods by what they believe is a Bigfoot-type creature. However, they soon begin to suspect that they may have stumbled onto a nest of aliens in a hidden spacecraft.
