Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Best for book lovers and people who like their stories with a little heart-flutter. Adapted from a book, so readers can compare notes.
The mood: Warm and romantic.
The pace: Lets scenes breathe, at 2 hr.
What might put you off: It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Made in 1952: an older pace and style.
Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

Zainab loves Ibrahim, but her father forces her to marry Hassan. After developing tuberculosis while Ibrahim is away in military service, she suffers neglect from Hassan’s family until Ibrahim returns and tries to save her.
