Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe
With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- A natural pick for people who'll be humming afterwards and people who like stories that don't look away. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top. Liked Better Man or Pink Floyd: The Wall? This is a good next one. It deals with hard things honestly.
- The mood
- Thoughtful and character-driven.
- The pace
- Gives its people room to develop, at 58 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
- What might put you off
- Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.
Cult director Richard Stanley brings Marillion's music to the screen in the 50-minute BRAVE. A teenager believed to be suicidal is discovered wandering near the Severn Bridge. Suffering from severe memory loss, she seeks information about the mysterious events that led to her condition. This work of fiction was inspired from the true story of an amnesiac woman found at the bridge.
