Weeknight Watchearly ratingWhy it’s a Weeknight Watch
With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- A natural pick for people who love a story where everyone knows everyone and anyone fascinated by the criminal underworld. The small-town setting is half the character. Liked Dancer in the Dark or The Italian Job? This is a good next one. A look inside a world of loyalty, money and betrayal.
- The mood
- Funny with heart.
- The pace
- Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 1 hr 32 min.
- What might put you off
- It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
- Skip it if you're after something serious tonight.
The Topalović family has been in the burial business for generations. When the 150-year-old Pantelija dies, five generations of his heirs start to fight for the inheritance.
