Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Best for anyone who remembers how big everything felt at sixteen and slasher fans. It gets the awkwardness and the high stakes of being young. Sits nicely alongside Scream. Classic slasher set-up: count who's left standing.
The mood
Scary and gory.
The pace
Tense from early on, at 1 hr 25 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • Some graphic violence despite the NR rating.
  • Not one for anyone who hates jump scares.

A group of teens sneak out of their high school dance to cruise around and have some unsupervised fun. When their car runs out of gas on a deserted road, they discover an old farmhouse and the cannibal killer living inside.
