Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among zombie fans and anyone who likes to be kept guessing, this one's for you. The undead are the backdrop; how people treat each other is the real story. Liked Grindhouse or 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple? This is a good next one.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Keeps the tension tight, at 1 hr 22 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
  • Rated R: meant for adults.
  • Skip it if you scare easily or watch alone at night.

Under the border leading into Mexico, within a labyrinth of caves, a deadly presence haunts all who enter. For four friends on an expedition, the caverns become an underground graveyard as the tortured ghosts prey upon them, one by one.
