Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Best for anyone who likes watching someone settle a score and anyone interested in what war does to people. A revenge story, so expect the pressure to build to a reckoning. Same wavelength as 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple or The Conjuring. It puts you in the middle of the fighting, and doesn't let you forget the cost.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Tense from early on, at 1 hr 30 min. Short enough for a weeknight.
What might put you off
  • Rated R: meant for adults.
  • Not one for anyone who hates jump scares.

A man and his brother on a mission of revenge become trapped in a harrowing occult experiment dating back to the Third Reich.
