Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Aimed squarely at western fans and people who like stories about real, flawed people. Best on a quiet night when you're in the mood to feel something. Liked True Grit or Deadwood: The Movie? This is a good next one.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 40 min.
What might put you off: Skip it if you need something light and fast tonight.

Based on the memoirs of Josephine Marcus Earp, a young opera singer from San Francisco, this docudrama tells the story of how she became the wife of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp.
