Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Aimed squarely at people who get choked up at a comeback and anyone who likes a story with emotional weight. The sport matters, but the people playing it matter more. Fans of Air or Friday Night Lights should feel right at home.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Character-first and patient, at 1 hr 43 min.
What might put you off: Rated PG-13. Probably too much for younger kids.
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Based on true events amid the wreckage and chaos dealt by Hurricane Katrina; one basketball coach in Marrero, Louisiana just will not give up. Coach Al Collins, gathers other players from hard-hit schools and builds a team actually worthy enough to go to the state playoffs.
