Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: If you count yourself among romantics and anyone who loves a strong drama, this one's for you. Leaves you with something to think about.
The mood: Warm and romantic.
The pace: Lets scenes breathe, at 1 hr 30 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off: It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Set in Sri Lanka, where old colonial laws permit the imprisonment of gay and lesbian people, 'Frangipani' tells the story of two young men and one woman entangled in a lustful – and incredibly dangerous - love triangle.
