Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Great for slasher fans and anyone who's ever talked to their pet. Classic slasher set-up: count who's left standing. Shelve it next to Nine to Five or Ruthless People. An animal steals a fair few scenes.
The mood
Scary and gory.
The pace
Tense from early on, at 1 hr 22 min. An easy one to fit in on a school night.
What might put you off
Not the pick if you want something heavy or meaningful.

CHOPPING BLOCK follows a group of corporate guys who get laid off. Desperate times call for desperate measures. They decide to kidnap their ex-boss's daughter for ransom. Things take a bloody turn, when the boss's daughter just happens to be the only survivor of a masked psychopath. A masked psychopath still out for blood. Hilarity & bloodshed ensue...
