Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: A natural pick for anyone who likes to solve it before the characters do and anyone with a complicated family (so, everyone). The investigation drives everything, one lead at a time. Same wavelength as Evil Under the Sun or Shadow of a Doubt. Family ties get tested in ways that ring true.
The mood: Tense, gritty.
The pace: Moves at a clip, at 1 hr 31 min.
What might put you off: Skip it if you want something to relax to.

Hollywood hopeful Kim Taylor is found dead after a wild night with Tinseltown's elite. Her forensic pathologist sister, Alex, joins homicide detective Dane Braxton in an attempt to piece together Kim's final hours before the killer can strike again.
