Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
One for readers who like to compare the book and the screen version and romantics. Adapted from a book, so readers can compare notes. Shelve it next to Pride & Prejudice.
The mood
Warm and romantic.
The pace
Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 1 hr 43 min.
What might put you off
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Lily Whitmore is the heir to a crumbling factory that she's determined to restore to its former glory. Unfortunately, Lily must instead turn her attention to the conniving Lionel Filmore who's determined to marry into the family no matter what.
